Lo-Fi House

YouTube influencer - Lo-Fi House

Introduction
LoFi House has two main members, Shan and Silvia. They are both stylists for interior from Taiwan.  They are not interior designers and had never learned interior design in University.
Their aim is to carry out furnishing and transformation of furniture and accessories to beautify the space. More importantly “handmade creativity” is irreplaceable in their style.
They are saying they believe that home is not just a living space, but also a manifestation of a personal style and aesthetic experience. Which this statement is kind of true, no one wants to live in a house that they don’t like right?

The interior stylists
 Silvia Cheng

Shan Wei

They both have different styles when styling the interior. For example, Silvia is more focus in vintage style and Shan is forcing in a mix of modern style and the industrial style.
When they work together they can create an amazing home for their client. Here are some examples of their work:
1. Ronald’s Home

2. Nordic Fresh

3.  My Little Corner

As you can see, they are all completely different styles. This is because they are aware of the house owner’s living styles. They recreate what the owner like. Also, most of the furniture already exists in the house. Therefore, it is at a low budget. All they needed to do is to paint over the wall if necessary or moving furniture out or maybe even transforming them into something different. Rearranging the furniture is also included.

What makes them different from interior designers?
Interior designers are paying more attention to precise construction methods, safety and decorating with a sense of design.
But interior stylists are more focusing on the taste in life, the lifestyle, the collocations of colours of the materials and also the layout of the furniture.

Search Lo-Fi House on YouTube to see how they recreate the style of the room!!

Insomnia cafe

Insomnia Cafe This is the Insomnia cafe in Castletroy. This is located inside Spar beside the PaPaRich Asian restaurant. This area was originally a space for dining too. Recently, the owner of the Spar partnered up withInsomnia Cafe and changed the interior. It is now more pleasant looking, where before it was just dull and simple. They have taken the advantage of the window, it brings in a lot of sunlights and brighten up the space much more than before. Also, they’ve changed all the seatings and tables and brought in new wall paper and decorations. This the place gave me the feeling of home, the feeling that I’m at home and relaxing having a nice cup of coffee. It’s very comfortable and satisfies. In my opinion, the atmosphere inside the cafe is very nice. It really allow me to relax more and enjoy my time while I was doing my work. It is not noisy or rough and it's quiet, unlike the other cafe. This might be because that this location is not in the city. Less people ar
